A Different Conversation About Church

Church Is Not What You Think.

What if we have inherited a definition that is smaller than what Jesus intended?

The First Question

Who told you this was what church was supposed to be?

For many of us, church became a place to attend, a service to sit through, a calendar to follow, or an organization to support.

But Jesus did not ask people to attend a brand.

He invited people to follow Him.

A better question.

What if we asked what Jesus actually meant when He told people to follow Him?

Following Jesus

What did Jesus model?

He gathered people. Walked with them. Taught them. Equipped them. Sent them.

He invited people into a different way of living, seeing, serving, and participating in the Kingdom of God.

Not just a better Sunday. A different life.

Acts As A Blueprint

How did we get here?

Jesus gave us the model. Acts shows people meeting in homes, sharing meals, praying together, supporting needs, and living out their faith in everyday life.

The disciples lived it. The early church practiced it.

So how did church become something many people primarily attend?

Somewhere along the way, many of us settled for attendance.

The Search Beneath The Search

What do people really mean when they say they want church?

Church is often the word people use. Discipleship is often what they’re missing.

Why Bridges?

Because connection changes what is possible.

People are already gathering, praying, serving, opening homes, starting conversations, helping neighbors, and living out their faith.

Bridges exists to connect people to people, churches to churches, resources to needs, businesses to communities, and faith to everyday life.

We’ve Been Listening

We are not the only ones asking these questions.

We’ve been having conversations with pastors, worship leaders, business owners, longtime church members, people who left church, and people exploring faith for the first time.

“I spend so much time maintaining ministry that I rarely have time to disciple people.”

Pastor

“Sometimes I wonder if we’ve confused production with presence.”

Worship Leader

“I want my work to matter, but I don’t know how my business fits into the Kingdom.”

Business Owner

“I didn’t walk away from Jesus. I walked away from what church became.”
